LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Pros 360, one of Southern California’s premier heating and cooling service providers, announced today a new giveaway campaign with a prize valued at up to $20,000 for one lucky Los Angeles-area homeowner. In celebration of this year’s National Underdog Day on Dec. 15, Pros 360 is showing that a small company can still pack a big punch.
The “Comfort Caravan 2023 Giveaway,” which is found at pros360.net/comfort, culminates in a caravan of Pros 360’s fleet of service vehicles driving together throughout the region on Saturday, Dec. 16. Residents have a chance to enter the contest online, and through the entry page, there are chances to gain additional entries, including five additional entries just by sharing a picture of the caravan on social media.
Dec. 16 is also the last day to enter the contest. One homeowner will win the grand prize: A Lennox 17 SEER Heat Pump system, which is a highly efficient electric air conditioning and heating unit. The unit, and installation services, are included in the prize package.
Why a caravan? It’s a “show of force” to demonstrate that even smaller companies can make a big difference in their communities, said Leal Aldana, owner of Pros 360.
“We love our community, and making our customers smile when they come home,” Aldana said. “We use the highest quality parts, and absolutely never stop until the job is done right. We want to offer that experience to a lucky homeowner as a way of saying thank you to the community that has supported us.”
The American Dream has always been for the underdog to emerge as a champion, Aldana said; that’s why Pros 360 is making this unique “automotive overture” happen during the weekend of National Underdog Day, which has been celebrated in the United States on the third Friday of December since 1976.
Pros 360 plans to offer prizes throughout the whole weekend in solidarity with the little guy coming out on top.
“Imagine being a homeowner who signs up for free and then finds out they’ve won a brand new, state-of-the-art air conditioning makeover for their home,” he said. “They’ll be a million times more comfortable at home, and yet they’ll save money on their energy bills. Sometimes, the underdog really does win!”
Heat pump system conversions are a hot topic in Southern California, as rebates have been made available totaling millions of dollars in recent years in the region for converting to these more energy efficient systems. Heat pump systems draw heat and coolness naturally from the surrounding environment, and do not rely on gas for its energy, making it a more environmentally healthy option for the community. In October, Burbank Power and Water announced it would offer rebates for $1,000 per ton for “electrifying your home” by converting gas furnace heating to a heat pump system, in an effort to encourage more conversions in the area.
In January 2024, Pros 360 also plans to attend an Electrification Faire where its HVAC experts will be on-hand to discuss the pros and cons of heat-pump systems and how rebates make this the best time for converting to a heat-pump system.
It’s just one of many ways Pros 360 offers support to the community that supports it, Aldana said.
“The only way we can triumph is by working together as a collective,” he said. “I would like to think that by doing our part to keep our homes warm in the winter, and cool in the summer, that we’re making everyone’s life a little easier so they can focus on the things that matter most, like friends and family.”
About National Underdog Day
National Underdog Day recognizes that America loves its underdogs and takes place this year on Dec. 15, 2023. Each year on the third Friday in December, we cheer on the teams and individuals who are statistically expected to lose in competition. In sporting events, people tend to rally around the person or team that is not favored to win. An underdog is a person or team in competition most likely expected to lose. This expectation can be based on statistical data, opinion or overall standings. When the underdog wins, we call it an upset.
